- More info:Earlier Saab 9-5 (and Saab 9-3 Trionic 7) 4-cyl models are renowned for PCV hose failures. Hoses become soft and may collapse. Under some circumstances the crankcase ventilation pass-through is to low. Therefore oil leakage can occur. A good crank case ventilation is necessary to avoid high oil consumption.
