- Spec:The siren has an integral battery back-up which means that even if the power to the battery is cut (disconnected car battery, cut lead), when an alarm is tripped the siren will continue to sound using its own battery. The lifetime of the battery is approx. 10 years. When it is time to change the battery, “SERVICE THEFT ALARM” is shown on the SID when the ignition is turned on.
