Background
We wanted a neat event car that we could use for track days and autocross sessions without compromizing comfort. The car should still have all the technical bells and whistles of a modern car and the ability to carry passengers if needed.

The Volvo V40 is just that, a neat little car with the option of having Volvos great turbo fiver at 2.5 liters. It also has the four wheel drive/AWD option. There's a catch though. If you want this combo, you have to select the Cross Country version of the V40.

Well, we wanted both T5 and AWD, but since we're neither interested in bringing home grocery bags to our imaginary mansion nor being mistaken for someone who really wanted an SUV but not quite had the budget for one, we had some alterations to do! Said and done, the car went on the lift and got a really great chassis from D2 bringing the car down to the ground. Naturally, we changed every bushing available to us for a Powerflex version of it! The result is a low and steady car with great handling!

A bit of cosmetics and a REAL engine tune gave us a great little curve twister with no compromise in comfort.

Thanks to a close collaboration with Fridafors Bilservice, the engine build has been really smooth and we've been able to use their dyno to verify the desired performance figures.
