Borg Warner's EFR series is one of the more modern turbo units for high effect output and is extremly fast in spool up as well as durable. The choice for our TurboXR fell on EFT 7670 with ceramic ball bearings, a twin T4 exhaust flange, a built-in wastergate controlled by a 2port WG clock with back pressure.
During the 9-3 SSR project, SPEEDPARTS developed its own motorsport control unit for boost pressure fully embedded in the ME9 system control unit, which controls a 2-port MAC boost regulation valve with a extremly accurate and fast regulation even during very high pressure.
TurboXR has a maximum boost pressure of 2 bar excess pressure.
